You don't need the included cable if you have a USB interface using the nocablepatch. For me at least I experience no latency this way versus the actual cable which has some.

I bought the LTD M-10 from Guitar Center for my son and it is a nice guitar. If you keep an eye out you can get it for around $140 or so.
