Fwiw I bought a refurb Dyson light ball through Walmart and I suspect it had seen heavy use. The play in the buttons and the folding mechanism were significant, although it did vacumn well.

Absolute / Animal = new Torque Drive clean Motorhead / Total Clean = Old Direct Drive clean According to reviews, Torque is much better cleaning but Direct drive is still good enough.
