Unless things have changed, Straight Talk (with AT&T or T-Mobile sims) will roam for voice and SMS, just not data.

I am positive...it is an issue with the provisioning that AT&T will not fix.. My phone has VoLte (AT&T NOTE 9) but no Wifi calling

AT&T should be able to fix it. Call customer care and ask them to submit an urgent ICU case using trend ID: 1133. If the representative don’t know what you’re talking about, ask for a supervisor.

That’s because they prioritize postpaid customers in cellular usage. So if you have LTE or 5G whatever, if someone has the same with postpaid they have priority over you.
