As an owner of 5 pairs, i don't know what you are talking about. There are 2 types of Sambas. These have a higher arch. The ones with an Adidas logo at the achilles area don't=originals

Most likely but it's easy to fix. Just remove the insole and the high arch is just some padding that can be peeled off.

There are three sets of photos and two color choices. I believe cloud white is all white but when you select it as a color, it shows cloud white / collegiate purple.

Got the purple last week. It's nice since it is different than most samba's. Tongue has the logo in a much lighter purple. Looks nice.
