The cable HBO sub doesn’t use up any of your data. It depends on what your data cap is and how much you watch HBO whether you would use up all your data, or get charged for overages.

Thanks Professor and iamiamian, I have no data cap on the internet plan so it sounds like there is no reason to keep the cable HBO subscription.

If you have AT&T Wireless you get HBO for free as well depending on the plan you are on.
