PassMark lists the 4500U at 11120 and the 4700U at 13541. I don't know whether those numbers are proportional to actual performance, but the difference is either 22% or 18% (depending on which you...

Just bought this open box in “satisfactory” condition which based on what I’ve read is most peoples “like new” for $610. Perfect price for great internals with upgradable ram.

I bought this exact laptop a week and a half ago from BB when it was $799. I guess I'll be contacting support tomorrow morning hoping for an $80 price match. Seeing other comments, I was worried...

Don’t buy from Best Buy... bad CS and horrible return policy.

Nice specs except dram and screen brightness. Good deal for the price!

I reduced SSD to 256GB and it downgraded to AMD Ryzen 5 for a cost of 549.99. Still a good deal?

It's the 14" 2in1 Inspiron 7000 series that offer 4500u and 4700u. It's a really nice system and best in class IMO for the Ryzen 2 in 1 version

I have this laptop and I like it so far. No heating issues. Intel is so 2015

Not coming in USA for any near future. None of the SMT enabled models are coming to USA. They have been released in European countries and some Romanian sites have published reviews on Ryzen 7...

This one has way better build quality, all metal design and user upgradable memory for both the slots whereas Lenovo Flex 5 has it soldered. Display Quality is more or less same.

Good point. So far everything is crisp. People complaining about the screen but I will only use this inside so it’s plenty bright for my needs. I ordered some RAM (Arrives Sunday) and haven’t...

It just removes all the unnecessary stuff from the HP. You just need to download windows 10 from Microsoft into a usb. No need to reformat from what I’ve seen. Windows also has a “Fresh Start”...

14 day return policy seems fair. No restocking fee. Don't know anywhere else it's better.

Think I’ve seen reviewers note that the Flex 5 has dual heat pipes where it’s typically custom to only place one. I’d probably go with that model before the others.

Costco one comes with better SSD and a pen. The SSD is worth $50 alone, the pen is cool if you use that kind of thing. What do you think of it so far? I'm getting mine delivered tomorrow.

That passmark score helps when using all those cores like video editing, people looking at laptops with cheap displays typically aren't looking for that. For next few years the difference with the 4C...

I picked up the ryzen 5 at Costco today and plan to price match on 6/24, and this (BB’s ryzen 5 version) is $50 cheaper. But you can’t beat the Costco warranty so I’ll be keeping this one if there’s...

Ram is upgradable but screen is not good also users are reporting heating issues. I was seriously considering this model but decided to wait for IdeaPad slim 7 AMD.

Good enough deal, but gotta wonder whether this is really worth it over the $599 Costco one with 4500u. Seems exactly the same, save the slightly better processor. Is a ~10% better APU worth this...

Thanks my friend! Btw, what are the benefits of reinstalling Windows? I haven't heard of that before. Do I have to remove the SSD and format it, then reinstall Windows via a bootable USB?

Better but not by much at all. This Best Buy especially the open box at $650 is a very very good deal. Much better built than Lenovo with all aluminum, WiFi 6, etc.

why do they keep release 8gb laptops? are we supposed to have more rams ?
Post #138076919 added 06-17-2020 2:15 PM by skildner in Deal Talk
That's the better deal in my opinion. I don't think it's worth the 30% extra for a better processor which is most likely overkill for typical users.
