You can use newspaper to light the chimney... Just drizzle some cooking oil on the paper first. Spray PAM... or liquid cooking oil... Whatever u have .... It'll prolong the burn and get the coals lit.

Sous vide is really not that great. A sous vide steak never has the amount flavor a grilled(reverse sear) steak/roast will have. The only thing that sous vide does well is making cheap cuts tender...

Best briquettes I've used is B&B, burns very clean on startup and last a long time. 2nd best briquettes I've used is Royal Oak Chef's Select. However for the price these are fine imo.
