They have different "return" policies for electronics. Has anyone actually gotten an improperly functioning Elite Controller exchanged or otherwise taken care of at Costco?

They're good, definitely an improvement with the extra features but not 3x as good, IMO. However if you went to some third party custom controller shop you'd probably pay quite a bit too.

FYI, the way around a membership is to have someone who had one buy you a gift card. It can be as little as $5. Gets you in the door, and you just pay the difference at checkout.
