do not erase your 2 tb drives after transferring your data to whatever size single drive you require to do that,, and ignore the ever present "life span" trolls - you have redundant backup now.

Yes. If you are able to download(or copy from the disc) the video to your PC, then you can copy to this drive. It's just a hard drive and needs separate power connection. (Not Portable).

Don't be such a sucker for gimmicks. Hard drives worked fine before "Helium" and will work fine without it. You also aren't going to "lose" any Helium if you were to drop the drive.

oh yea... been using both MyBook, Elements and SATA HDD in hotswap cradle. All WD (esp. the RED and BLACK) perform as advertised (can't say that about some drives by some other high-end competitors).
