I give the hero 8 an edge because of super view now has hypersmooth boosted in 4k30. The dji cropped too much for action sports. Might not be centered but GoPro really doesn’t need a front facing...

The image is not as wide as GoPro super view. However with the new firmware tweaks the camera is very comparable. Accessories are cheaper and they also offer a microphone adapter for better audio.

Other than the wider FOV that goes to the GoPro(s), I think the image quality is superior on the DJI: colors are less punchy more overall more natural, their "flat" profiles for those that will apply...
