yes. If you want to play with more than 2 players, you'll need another pair of joy-cons. Most other people get a microsd card, screen protector, and carrying case for their switch.

Supposedly will need Electrical Contact Cleaner (like WD-40 Specialist Electrical Contact Cleaner, not the normal WD-40) to clean the graphite contacts, and alcohol doesn't cut it.

buy replacement joysticks for a few bucks, take the joycon apart and repair it. Yeah it's a bummer, but it's cheaper than buying a new set or hoping nintendo will repair it.
