Light weight, decent runtime, fantastic screen in 4:3 format, probably the best keyboard on a laptop.

No, only the SSD is and it uses proprietary SSD chips so that technically isn't easily replaceable either.

I know, but once you start messing with font sizes (and I do it myself, btw), you run into apps that assume defaults and then you can't read text because it overflows, or buttons get missing, etc....

I haven't received my surface laptop yet but someone mentioned this fix for the wifi: Go to WIndows settings, Systems, Power & Sleep and under Network Connection select "Managed by Windows".

Yes, but I think you need a special USB-C-to-XXX adapter, where XXX is whatever your external monitor accepts, like DisplayPort, HDMI, etc.

You sure can. It also has a display port. You can use USB-c with any port replicator or a dongle. You can also use the MS Surface Dock version 1 or 2.
