This. Cheap ceiling fans are ugly, weak, and not worth cheaping out on. It's annoying to replace so I find it much better to purchase one that I really like instead of saving a few dollars.

Usually a hugger fan won't have provisions to add a downrod. Also the housing for the motor assembly won't work unless attached to the ceiling.

Dim. It fits a single standard A19 light bulb and it's a really snug fit, so you're not going to be able to put a 1600 lumen LED bulb in it. Making things worse, the shade filters out a ton of light....
