Swap your primary router and see if WiFi call is better. It has to be an issue with latency

Good question. There have always been more powerful mesh routers, and cheaper mesh routers. What makes Google's product so popular is its ease of use. Creating a reliable router with app-based...

The main advantage of the Google WiFi system is maintainability. There are better mesh systems out there, to be sure, but few are as easy to setup or check on as theirs. Very good for people that...

These are certainly an older model but for someone looking for reliability, they fit the bill. I just picked up a pack of M9's from Costco and I could not return them fast enough. Coming from a...

I set these up for my parents house and it's been perfect for the last 2 years. No disconnects, no reboots needed. The range is not the best, but the added bonus of expandable via cheap OnHub units...

Wasn't 100 bucks for a 3-pack not too long ago?

Hmm never had an issue with seeing devices across the network. Everything on my setup seems to use one ip range. I use the additional wired ports all around the house to.

I also thought that gen 1 has only one Ethernet, but actually both ports can be used as Lan ports

I've been using the current version (Google Nest Wifi) since February and absolutely love it! I would consider my understanding of Wifi and it's related technology to be around 7 out of 10, so...

Just name brand, these from a performance standpoint are not even in a top 5 or top 10 anymore. I would not pay over $100 for a set new, let alone $180 for a refurbished set, lol.

I have 5 of these and they work great. I haven’t upgraded as the new systems for a similar price seem to lack Ethernet ports. The nice thing with these is you can plug in two Ethernet cables or a...

what makes the 1st gen better is every unit is both a router/access point. second gen has 1 router, and you add access points.

I just bought the Nest Router with 3 Access Points (I guess its considered 2nd generation). Would this 1st Gen be compatible with my Nest? Or would that just mess everything up? I was looking...

For me it's the following: - Each unit is the same, can use it as the main router or an extender. I can swap one of my units out and lend it to someone else. Don't have to worry about buying two...

I currently have Deco mesh from the a deal a couple months ago. I waiting on a Google deal forever. Should I switch? The only reason I would consider is the ecosystem. Thoughts?

what about Google WiFi makes it so popular when tri band systems like the deco m9 sell for about roughly the same price as the gen 1 refurbished Google WiFi pack? Is it because of the Google...

Please keep in mind, you may not be able to completely cover your mansion (that you got from all the SD savings). The Google wifi can't have more than 5 access points in a reliable network

The mansion? Yes, with digitized blueprint 😁 I remember reading about the limitation somewhere online, just can't recall right now. In practice, my 5 access point network coverage is amazing, but...

I wonder the same. Did a quick search and it looks like an individual Google user can manage up to 100 access points on an account, so a limit of 5 seems unlikely but not impossible - perhaps based...
