I seriously doubt that. More likely it is extruded aluminum with only minimal machining done.
With a JMicron JSM583 chipset, these are over-priced.
I'll stick with Realtek RTL9210 based devices.

I got the USB 3.2 version the last time this was on sale, and speeds cap out at 9xx Mbps. so if you want to stick a drive faster than 1000mbps, don't bother.
