Never got why they didn't do a variant in-between with a gum rubber sole (that I've seen anyhow). Not cheap enough? It would satisfy the crepe haters and the synthetic haters.

i wear an 11 in vans and a 10 in my bushacre 2's. I love the clarks but like others said, not comfortable and no arch support. I bought the super feet insoles for them and now they're awesome.

That's the tradeoff for the heavenly comfort of crepe. If you get a white or light color crepe sole, the sole will turn black walking on city streets. Heaven help you if you step in a puddle as well....

Me too. I bought some gel inserts to help with it, but they are very hard to walk in. I regret buying them. The inserts help somewhat, but there is no way I'd wear these all day long.
