Because it is open-frame, and is not an inverter-generator, I expect that it is fairly noisy under load. But, just how noisy? (Couldn't find any listed noise spec.) Can anyone point me in the...

My furnace also did not run on my generator until I fixed a grounding issue. My problem was not the generator THD but grounding. It has some sort of flame sensor that was looking for the proper...

does this one come with an electric starter?
Post #140550854 added 09-21-2020 12:41 PM by Dr. J in Deal Talk
My point was a furnace is a really simple piece of equipment to be having issues with shitty THD. Perhaps if it's a really new sexy model with lots of bells and whistles, but that's just the...

Pulsar is a pretty well-known manufacturer and they also private label generators for other brands. Also, LPG will derate the power output by about 10%.

Under the following conditions, OSHA directs (29 CFR 1926.404(f)(3)(i)) that the frame of a portable generator need not be grounded (connected to earth) and that the frame may serve as the ground (in...

"Doesn't matter if the generator frame is grounded or not" - Grounding the Generator – The National Electric Code (NEC), as well as many local electrical codes, may require the generator to be...

Christ you are either daft or oblivious; grounding has basically nothing to do with floating neutral and the issues it can cause (or rather a bonded neutral). I didn't say NOT to ground the thing;...

No it doesn’t

Doesn't matter if the generator frame is grounded or not, it matters if the neutral and ground are bonded or not, lest you can get stray currents that will migrate through the frame (and anything...

Only knock that I can think of now is that it's not an inverter, which means it's noisier and the power produced is not as clean...

I need something that will run my refrigerator, a small air conditioning unit or a small space heater, and potentially a deep freezer. It would also be nice to run my wireless router modem and maybe...

I’d wait for the Duromax 4800w one for $250 or 10kw one for $500. I've had both and they've been great (albeit slightly overrated on LP).

Yes, my generator is 5,000 watts and I ran a big deep freezer, a refrigerator, a 9,000 btu air conditioner and a couple of fans and a 60” tv and some led lights all at the same time and in 90°...

Since this doesn't have an inverter, it could damage the sensitive electronics. If you want one for the electronics, it would be better to get one with a built in inverter.

I hear this a lot. Never once actually seen it. I've been running a crappy THD (dirty power) generator(s) for years. Never had a single loss of "sensitive electronics". Ran my LCD TVs and computers...

LPG is propane or a propane/butane mix, and it can run on that or unleaded gasoline. The only thing it doesn't run on is LNG (natural gas) from a house line, but you could probably make it work with...

Pretty sure all propane is a lpg, but not all lpg is propane. Meaning the lpg definition includes other gasses, but from my understanding, regular propane should be fine to use.

Yes, that is LPG. Shake the tank, you'll here a liquid sloshing around. It is stored in liquid form under pressure.

You thought right. Gas as in gasoline, LPG as in liquid propane gas. The "main gas line" kind of gas in your house is called NG or natural gas.
