If you are on a budget, the cheapest functional burr grinder that I have found for French through Drip grinds is the Cuisinart Supreme Grind. Its like $60, but use a 20% off coupon at BBB and its a...

This is definitely not a coffee grinder but would be good for grinding small amounts of spices, like if you make your own curry powder or similar. For larger amounts one can use a blender or food...

Okay for spices, but if you're going to go through the effort of grinding your own coffee, there's no reason not to get a bur grinder instead.

Bur grinder is overrated. Fresh ground + (Moka pot OR French press) = great coffee. I use a 25 year old blade grinder like this I bought for ~$10, and nurses look forward to my coffee.

For anything hard like coffee beans or dried spices, a burr grinder is best. Gets as close as you can get in an automated way to mortar and pestle. For softer things, a blade grinder is best and will...

Somewhat agree with lenovosux. Bur grinder gets a more consistent grind but with variations in beans and roasting, it's tough to say there is a perfect grind for specific bean and a blade will get...
