I picked one up today. It's $8.99/lb. The labels have packed on dates ranging from 11/25 to 11/28 and sell by dates of 12/2 to 12/5. I don't think they repack them. The sell by dates seem very...

I think it's easier to trim after slicing the steaks. I just did this last night and vacuum sealed a bunch of individual steaks.

Don't try dry aging at home...you need a very cold, dry refrigerator and a fan to circulate the air. Plus, you're growing mold on the outside...if you don't know what you're doing, it can put you...

I freeze after sous vide and it comes out perfect. My theory on that is that the cooking dehydrates the cells a bit which gives it even more protection from freezer burn. Also, it then takes less...

We do this all the time - just bought one unfortunately. Here is the trick: "wet aging", as performed by most steakhouses, involves simply putting the sealed loin in the refrigerator (NOT...

Honestly, purchase a cheap vacuum sealer is my recommendation. It really will help and it's worth it when you're freezing $100-150 of meat. If you can't, I'd freeze raw and throw in the sous vide...

There's no bone in it. We do this every year. You can usually get about 13 or so thick new york strips out of each "log" of this steak. Get a good sharp knife (I sharpen before I start) and someone...

I was turn off by the thick fat cap. I know it's prime but I don't want to pay $7 or whatever it was for a chunk of fat. Ended up w a 8lb+ pork loin for around $7. Time for some canadian bacon .

I got one that was a little over 13 pounds for $7.12/lb after the discount. Basically the closer to $100 you can find a package, the bigger your actual discount in percentage terms.

I've bought this the last few years and really enjoyed it. As soon as I get it, I slice it into steaks, add garlic salt and vacuum seal them. They still taste great months later. Is there a limit?

They are in packages of 10-15 lbs, cost of package depends on price per lb at your club.
