Too bad they dropped the headphone jack on these. I find the Firestick and other Android TV devices have a better menu, less advertisement, and more sideload options, but I haven't used one of these...

Roku doesn't allow side loading of apps, so I think this isn't relevant to this thread. Good to know, though. If you want to block ads on the Roku, you'll need something like Pi-Hole.
