Good summary. Few people even track drive temps, so this is another case of being informed is a wise position to be in. As far as Mystic Light, my son's PC can't even set the preferred fan color any...

I have the 1TB version of this drive from last thanksgiving day sale ($70 at amazon). The speeds were great at first, with 3500 Mbps read and almost 3000 Mbps write, but as drive fills up it doesn't...

Very tempting. Prefer to get a non RGB one as my motherboard has a shield over the m.2 slot so would want to remove the heatsink. So a non RGB one for cheaper would be better for me.

I've been burned by ADATA a few times in the past from flash drives to add sd cards and one sata ssd. It does seem they are coming up to par with the rest of the industry but I don't know if I would...

In the course of time of owning 1TB you will probably end up buying a 5tb external for ~$100 for the extra content, then current sizes and prices will be lower to a point that 1TB isn't worth it plus...

The max ram i have ever seen in 1 system is about 2tb. Usually for running mathematical programs with large data set. I have seen editing programs using ram as a cache to speed up the processing...

Odds are that price will go down. Not sure how long your willing to wait or how much you really need that much fast storage.

Eventually they will all fall in price but we are talking a bigger drop than $200 in under 3 months. Unless this drive has major issues, have not checked reviews yet, I think its less likely. Its...

If speed and tons of storage is what you want (and RGB) definitely get this. 4x the space for ~4x the price is great (usually if 1TB is $100, 2TB is $230 kind of scale) especially for storage and...

I assume this is QLC (quad layer) rather than TLC (triple layer). In NAND, more layers means many more voltage states. More voltage states means more drift issues. The only thing QLC has going for...

Can anyone find a Crystal Diskmark or something for the 4TB version of this drive?

I believe I have the same one but it's 1TB. I don't like the RGB on it, it's not very even and you can see individual LEDs in it but it is plenty fast.

Personally, I wouldn't trust ADATA after they pulled the controller bait and switch on the 8200 pro

I have the 1tb version I use it as a games drive. Its plenty fast and was able to hide the rgb behind a very loosely tightened m.2 cover so I only get a nice under glow. My problem with this drive...

I bought a 2 TB NVME for 230$ a month or two ago and it dropped to 200$ this week. Its for my wifes 5900x build (whenever I can get the CPU) but for now its living in my PC as a second drive. 4TB...

Doesn't seem like the best SSD, but it's a surprisingly low price. If anyone has only a single slot in their laptop and needs the storage, then this seems reasonable presuming it's alright quality.

Prices of NVME has dropped too slowly IMO, if you want this I really don't think there will be a big drop anytime soon, that is why I'm more inclined at going in on a bigger drive (I'd prefer a lot...

The biggest issue with this particular model is the plastic over the controller. It's known to trap heat and be a terrible conductor. I have a heat gun I could probably use to remove the 'glue' from...
