Yup, I personally used a lighter match since I didn't have a heat gun and the results came out good still. You just have to make sure to rotate the tube over the flames to evenly shrink it.

Maybe that is why we have had so many F-18's crash.... I find it difficult to believe you used these Asian knockoffs that do not remotely meet any DOD specifications. If you don't use a full solder...

Of course not - nor did I imply that.🤔 You are absolutely correct that these may not be up to the mil or FAA standard, but I think you are probably making assumptions you shouldn't. Nearly all of...

You have used this Asian brand in avionics? Maybe you were in the Chinese military? :) Seriously, these are not remotely in any DOD specs. In comparison to a quality product of this 'type,' the...

No idea, but it's probably safe to assume it's around the same, or whatever is cheaper. People have some sort of impression that the melt point of solder is really high, but it's not.

Wago connectors are so nice for household wiring in the home. No need to strip back all that insulation to twist for wire nutting, it caps off live wires safely and allows reuse and rewiring without...

Is the solder ring used in this the same as regular 63/37 ? Or is it some lower melting point mix?
