Why would you install Windows 7 just to upgrade? That's a waste of time and not a very clean install. Also, I would never install Windows from a USB 2.0 port when there is a USB 3.x port available....

I just consider it the dedicated mouse port for laptops. Tend to see only one included on laptops now and speed isn’t necessary it.
