No this is the non waterproof version. There's an almost identical shoe that has a Gore-Tex layer (denoted by GTX). I highly recommend those over the non waterproof ones as I've owned both

I would size up if you have normal to wider-than-normal feet. All my Ultraboost shoes I've purchased over the years are all sized up by at least a half. It's like Adidas models all their shoe molds...

I'd say these are basically tennis shoes that are called "hiking shoes". About the only difference is a slightly thicker toe cap. Probably great for a mile or two of easy going trail hiking.... but...
