Agreed, but those are near impossible to find for retail these days. I've only used the 1's for a little over an hour at a time and they feel great to me.

You made the right choice. From what I understand, the 9X uses Xbox's proprietary wireless tech, which is prone to periodic disconnects. That's the main reason I went with the 7X over the 9X.
