The gun has good depth adjustment and the tip has a little notch to help you center the staple, it was really handy when i was doing chicken wire. Out of hundreds of staples didnt miss a single one

Walmart has a multi size 2000 pack (Hyper Tough brand) that fits great and costs 5 bucks. I like these because finding multiple sizes in an inexpensive pack can be difficult.

It's not that it's too strong, it's that using a staple gun to put up xmas lights is usually a bad idea. It's easy to miss and pierce the string.

OP should note price in title. Decent deal, I think it's been cheaper with battery deal thrown in or a hack. This is a very good M12 tool though and should be added to every one's M12 collection.
