I don't have any first hand experience renting an RV, but it is something we've been talking about doing for a while. My two cents: 1) While it would lower the costs down and help with driving, I...

If you are driving across the country in a class A motor home you are wasting money. Much cheaper to rent a car and stay in hotels. Campgrounds are almost full and resemble miniature cities with...

For us, I have to factor fewer miles per day driving an RV than I would driving a car. My wife would pretty much only drive if I physically wasn't able to. For an eventual purchase, I'm considering a...

I had always wanted to rent an RV, and we did for a few days 2 years ago when moving our daughter into her dorm at college. We rented a small Sprinter-based Class C (sometimes called a B+) since it...

Anyone have experience renting an RV? I've watched enough videos on YouTube about RVing to conclude that RVing is a terrible idea unless you are extremely wealthy, or something.

Sounds like a good opportunity to "try it out" although I wouldn't rent something so massive. You're right though, renting is a lot more expensive than you'd think, with per-day and per-mile fees...
