I still see 10% off on digital and physical, right at the top of the Gift Cards UR page... I have Sapphire Preferred, but I also redeemed some Freedom UR points for them a week or so ago.

I would wait to transfer for now unless you have an immediate use. Virgin is joining SkyTeam on March 2nd and the bonus is till March 18th. So you can see if they change any award rates first.

Without the bonus transfer rates, you can fly to Maldives for 85K + $200. I just searched on tomorrow as an example and here's what came up. https://imgur.com/a/3sHdPlr Compare this to the...

No it isn't available now. You'll need to wait for another ~3 months if you want to transfer to Qatar with a bonus. Note points don't expire, so you need to be patient and wait to get the best...

Can I fly to Malvides now for 62k points?

Exactly this. In order to find a deal with TY points you have to register at 20 various partners, then run numbers there and then, after 40 hours of work you might be able to save $3. On top of that,...

Is this offer available now? If not - that's same as saying that 3% mortgage is a good deal. Nobody argues with that, but is it available now? Not really.

Please show me how to book JFK-WAW with LOT via Turkish airlines. That flight could be booked with United miles/Kris Flyer but I couldn't find a way to book through Turkish.

Already given a tangible example - 1.4X offer from Qatar. Obviously useless if you don't have a Qatar/Avios account, hence "depends on which airline you use"

Even without the transfer bonus you can great value, and each transfer partner has its own sweet spots. You have to be flexible with your dates though since availability can be volatile.

You can do either but if you want guaranteed availability for a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary you can book almost a year in advance for most programs.

That bonus might never come back or come back at a different rate, then these partner transfers cease to exist, flight valuations change, some flights that were available for reward travel no longer...

So is it more of a "Find a good deal and schedule a vacation to match" type thing? Or are you able to find good deals on places you were already planning to go?
Post #161830030 added 02-20-2023 4:41 PM by BadBoyBilly in Deal Talk
Ah yes, I'm assuming people have the Citi Premier or Prestige in this case since those are needed for transferring.

Using Qatar especially during a transfer bonus is excellent value. You can fly to Maldives for example for $820 one way in Q-Suites business class from the US (62K + $200). Q suites is rated as a top...

It does not just depend on the airline you use, but also the type of Citi credit card you have. The point redemption values and transfer partners are actually quite limited if you have one of their...
