Probably the best card for cash back from online purchases IF you are a preferred client, which adds additional % back. No other card offers that much cash back.

I have this card. The fine print unless I am wrong is that the 3 percent category you chose is capped per quarter and it really doesn't add up to much. You are better off with a unlimited 2 percent...

It's $2500 cap- but the value is if you have high enough status with BoA- at which point that 3% becomes 5.25% within your category. And if you DO have that status then you can also get a...

With inflation they should really increase the $2,500 spend for the 3%

Couldn’t pay me enough to use Bank of America. They voluntarily without being asked sent a list of customers that bought any type guns to the atf for no apparent reason. They also did the same...

As someone already said.... Merrill Lynch. But I have never paid for a BofA account. And at one point they bought my mortgage and I scored a free safety deposit box... and I still have it. Plus...

I just got this card today. will the $200 bonus show up in my account a few days after spending the $1000 or will I have to wait until statement closes for the bonus to post?

Does anyone pay their utilities (ie - electric bill, water bill, etc) with this? Does it fall into one of the chooseable categories? I have a citi mc now and I get the 3% on grocery stores /...

I have the Mastercard version of this. The card looks almost identical and the rewards are the same. My 3% category currently is online shopping.

So this is now the best card for Costco shopping since Costco doesn't do extended warranty on that card anymore?

You can get 10x with CSR and the portal, and chase points are worth 50% more than Cap 1 miles in said portal. That one is quite solid- entertainment is a neglected category on most cat...

Yeah but there's no reason at all to waste $2500 cap space at 2% anyway since you can get that (or better) with other cards. Even with plat status you're generally going to want to use your $2500...

I don't waste my cap on groceries anyway. I have the VentureX for general purchases, Capital One savor for dining, entertainment, and groceries. I transfer the savor cash back to my miles on the...

The $2,500 spend is between 2% categories like groceries, Costco, Sam's and 3% for your top category per quarter. That's the biggest drawback. Most family spend between $400 to $500 or more a month...

But you would still need your Costco membership to shop at Costco and to get Costco gas? Unless you buy Costco cash cards but would still need a membership or know someone who has one? Citi custom...

Strictly speaking, this card seems to work without fail with Walmart and Amazon when it is set as the default card. But try to do a $1.29 online Walgreens ship-to-store for pickup, and it is blocked...

It also counts as online shopping for me for rent. Also, Merrill lynch does count towards preferred Rewards. And it's 1% on everything, uncapped. 2% on. Grocery stores and wholesale, bjs...

Been using this for years , never had this issue.
Post #163773293 added 05-30-2023 3:45 PM by dregan in Deal Talk
yeah, what Fanime said. Maybe not for everyone but you can link Merrill to BofA and supposedly (I'm in the process of testing this) the total assets go toward your rewards level qualification.

I think you are confused between a spending cap (which is $2500, and the cap the card actually has) and an earning cap-- which is 3% of $2500... but is a cap that does not exist So if you have...

Two best "everyday" options are: This card (with plat honors) for non-travelers since you get 3.5% cash back all year in store (within the 2500/qt spend cap)- but the real trick is costco.com gift...

It's S tier if you are in the platinum honors preferred rewards tier, cause you get 5.25% cashback in the category of your choice on up to 2500 dollars each quarter.
Post #163588784 added 05-19-2023 7:38 PM by Knightshade in Deal Talk
Yup... also 3.5% at warehouse clubs if you don't have any better option that quarter from one of the 5x rotating cards.

Isn't this offer pretty standard? Good card but not worth a 5/24 slot for churners.

For Costco members, this is better than the Citi card. It is a Visa card so it is accepted at Costco. You get the same 2% as the Citi card and you don't have to wait until the yearly check to...

One thing nice I've noticed is that it will show you how much you've spent in all the select-able categories, so if I'm not sure if something qualifies for such and such (i.e. does paying online...
Post #163578671 added 05-19-2023 10:28 AM by dregan in Deal Talk
I think where this card really shines is if you can get to platinum rewards it gives an additional 75% on your cash back, so 3% category is now 5.25%
Post #163660916 added 05-24-2023 3:35 AM by Min13 in Deal Talk
Weird. Mine must be a different card. My cap is $75 per quarter for 3 percent. Then it switches to 1 percent until the next quarter.
