I don't know if I'd go quite that far. Anytime the specs say LPDDR you know it's soldered. The trend with models that are using DDR5 is certainly towards soldered RAM. There are still models...

I want to get this laptop, but it only comes with 8g of RAM. Does anyone know if the RAM is upgradable? CPU: i5-1335U 512G SSD 16" WUXGA

First pretty much all memory is soldered now and the model tells you the ram so no the model ending is 8 only has 8 but if you change that to 16 it has 16 see here...
