Prime visa is 5% , so that is $5 back on $150, not sure how you are calculating $7.5 for prime visa cc. This Amex deal even at its sucky cash redemption ratio will still give more than 5%

Depends on what you use them for. Around a penny a point, but for travel/upgrades it could be a few times that. Redeeming for cash equivalents (GC, etc), less.
