I went to the ER today but did not post in the Lounge first as one should. You can nerp me now. Anyhow my original guess was appendicitis. Then I thought maybe it was a burst uterine fibroid....

Strongly agree. Spent a week in the hospital with pancreatitis several years ago. No one should ever have to endure the sharp, stabbing pain.

NPO treatment (no solid food, just amino acids and saline via IV) for several days is what it took to relieve mine. I lost over ten pounds that week. Had to eat super light a week or two following...

I've had pancreatitis 3 times that I know of. I have something called Sphincter of oddi dysfunction. Pancreatitis sucks. I'm glad you got care for it. You do NOT want to play around with that.
