i've owned two with zero rust issues. really depends upon where you live. they'll also replace the frame - which if you want to keep the truck is an option.

For anybody who doesn't know here in Michigan they have where you can get the title printed the day you visit the DMV. You can simply walk in, get the title and then go straight to a toyota dealer ...

Living in a state that uses a lot of salt that looks fairly normal to me for a five year old pickup. It looks to be surface rust. The frames on older Tacomas rusted all the way through.
