Thanks everyone for your suggestions! I may add some fresh gas to the current gas in there and give her a try to see if it starts.

Decided to give it a try at starting today after I ran across a bottle of the two cycle I used last season and noticed it had a fuel stabilizer included in the homelite oil. The snow blower started...

i've never been bitten by the "bad gas" issue - if you're hesitant, put some stabil in the tank right now, let it sit overnight (to diffuse), then run.

No harm done although can take some hard pulls to start and can throw some gunk on the spark plug. I would drain or use heet/stabil if you already changed the spark plug which some do yearly like...

Yeah, fuel stabilizer isn't always needed. I rarely remember to bring in my fuel tank from my shed and/or drain my mower during winter. Always worked fine getting through MA winters. Don't panic....

I know the ethanol is worse, but non-ethanol still gets pretty funky when it's old. Ethanol free is at every station around me, at least any that I've paid attention to. I heard ethanol was harder...

Try it and see if it starts. Throw a little fresh gas in there and see if that works. Then drain if none of that helps.

Supposedly its the ethanol that creates the problem in most cases. Most people cant get ethanol free gas anymore. I used to be able to go to the local airport but they wont sell to me anymore.

Ahh, then you also have to dispose of it.
I left gas in the snowblower for the first time last fall, and when I tried starting it there wasn't even a cough.
Cleaned out the hole in the carb...

I would try and start it on old gas first before you do anything. You might get lucky. If you have no luck what the above suggested will work.
