To be fair- for those who travel the Freedom Unlimited isn't 1.5% CB- it's 1.5x UR... which is worth more like 2.25-3% cash back on the low end, and 6-7% cash back on the high end for premium...

I didn't see it in the "My Offers" page on the website and I checked it in the Android App as well, nada! Thanks for the heads up, so I called up CSR and told me that this is only rolled out to...

That's exactly what I need to do...it's just hard to make the initial swap (and not forget to pay all my CCs with my USAA account instead of the one that I have been using for years). I gotta ask...

I must have been one of the four thousand people offered the deal as it showed right up in the USAA Android app. Less than 3 minutes later approved for 25k limit and 2.5% cash back. Boom.

They closed banking off to civilians about three years ago, and they are still rather limiting on what you can get with a civilian account. I believe you can't get insurance, but I don't know about...

No go for me as well. They have the best CCs, but damn if they're not hard to get! I was out of town the first time I was offered the Cashback Rewards Plus AmEx and missed the deadline and it took...

I understand your logic completely. When I set up my WF account (after BoA finally pissed me off enough to close the account) I was guaranteed that there would be no fees if my balance dropped below...

I admit the transitions of banks is a pain given the drafts of bills, life insurance, etc is quite the pain, but I had my account set after about a month. The reason for the $42? You can never...

Do they offer 90 day purchase protection? Do they double warranties? How is customer service? 2.5% is definitely enticing, but Amex has done so much for me in these other categories, it...

Really want this deal and can't get it. Frustrating in light of some comments on others who have qualified (bankruptcy, etc.).

YMMV: My account was not originally selected for this card. I called USAA on 1/03 and asked about this card. I was transferred to a 'special team' who told me that the card was for only a select few...

I don't believe that a single transaction is requisite to qualify for the 2.5%. The way I read it is: $1k/mo direct deposit, no matter if it's $1k in a lump sum or a daily direct deposit @ $36 per...

Does USAA ever offer open enrollment to non-military applicants? I'm referring to their banking/credit card products and not insurance.

Thanks for the info. I'm a little disappointed that it's not AmEx (they have better promos than most other networks, though that may be tied to the issuer rather than the network), but it's not that...

This offer is kinda lame. You need to have monthly single transactions of $1000 to keep the 2.5%. Rather difficult to do for the average person who gets paid weekly. I have my USAA account linked...
