2.5% - 2% = .5% difference Not .05% :P
Post #96193940 added 02-08-2017 10:38 AM by techsetter in Deal Talk
2.5% is enticing, and I bit. However, their customer service and internal systems are truly subpar and a headache to deal with. Makes me question if the extra 0.5% is going to be worth the extra...

doesn't make sense to me either. Plastiq does however run promotion of 2% fee sometimes, so maybe then would be a good time to utilize this card with Plastiq.

very nice service indeed. can you give an example of how much USAA car insurance changes comparing to other companies? I'll get my first car soon and always see Geico ads saying save 15% with them. ...

To be honest there are so many factors that play into it that it be worth doing the online calculators for the different companies. They take into account where the car is stored, type of car,...

It's 25% better than 2% - and it's 0.5% better in absolute terms. I earn about 500 in CB on my 2% card, so if I just change cards I get an extra $125 for doing basically nothing. Don't see how this...

Amex honors SCRA even for credit cards you got after joining the military. They even waive annual fees.
Post #95142832 added 01-14-2017 9:35 AM by DeathMoJo in Deal Talk
The SCRA specifically states it is used prior to joining so you are asking them to bend the law on this one, possible but holding that against them is pointless. If you had looked they offer a...

I think the key is "ACH transfer from your own bank doesn't count", you should start ACH transfer from your other bank not USAA bank, that should work per their term.

That's a good idea with the sharpie. I decided to just narrow down my 5% concerns to things I know I will use often in that period. So I usually jump on 5% at restaurants and 5% at big box stores,...

citi is almost the same at 2% cashback, idk if .05% makes ton of difference for carrying another card in the wallet, I'll pass thanks
Post #95096008 added 01-13-2017 6:46 AM by DaVagrant in Deal Talk
I don't think this card is worth getting if you already have a 2% credit card. That 0.5% difference only means an extra $50 per $10000 spent. Might as well get 2 Chase cards that have bonuses instead.

Is anyone actually getting 2.5% back? My calculations show that I'm not even while assuming the rewards take a while to post.
