I've read that the OEM GW batts are sometimes interchangeable by snipping off a plastic tab or two. You may want to google for instrux on that. Good luck, it seems like an easy mod.

This must totally depend on area. I'm in SC, and got interested in these items last year because they seemed very similar to other high voltage cordless lines like the Greenworks 80V, Kobalt 80V etc....
