The best way to use a lock like this would be through Tasker. Sadly, no luck for iOS users.

Using HomeKit makes this wonderful, it does lag for 10 second while I'm standing outside the door and press on my apple watch to unlock it. There is a separate wifi device to connect it to z-wave...

Does the Kevo or schlage sense have proximity unlocking? Geolocation? I want to walk to my door and turn the handle. Not unlocked via a key/code or touch the thing. Door unlocks as I walk up to it...

Was $150 With Alexa a few months back. Returned it because it didn't work. Having to wait a few minutes while it figures out you're outside and finally unlocks defeats the purpose.

I would recommend Schlage Sense over this. Sense is HomeKit enabled and comes with keypad. I got mine for ~$170 from Amazon warehouse. Not sure about Alexa compatibility though.
