I bought 3 sets of Patriot memory (2 x 4GB) kit.

2 out of 3 sets are defective. Should I take another chance on Patriot?

If haswell and DDR4 weren't 3 months away, I may have been tempted to pick this up for the next build. Good find though, similar to many of the black friday offerings.

Haswell doesn't use DDR4 (talking about the non EP versions)

Hey, I'm running http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P55...div=Detail, and I was wondering if I could buy this set and downclock it to 1600MHz. My board doesn't say it supports this specific frequency, and I'm nervous about committing before knowing either way.
