While checking out today (I was buying a 4 piece set of ratcheting tie downs, only 7.99 with coupon) my check out girl told me they will no longer be accepting the printed scans of coupons. I was using the coupon for a free pair of work gloves posted in the wiki. I've used it at least 5 times before and never had any issues. Is HF changing their coupon policy??
Crapnuggets I hope not.

I should think not because what about the coupons that they send in the weekly emails to everyone. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Parking lot sales often have the refer'b/returns like you see in the back corner of a store. In some cases there will be a dozen generators, or engines. ITC allows you to get into those sales early. Although sometimes that stuff makes it to Sunday afternoon when the manager puts them all 1/2 off the already reduced price.

Yep, that's about it.
Local store here said that they are no longer allowed to sell any returns or open box stuff...
Kind of makes sense...

An emailed coupon differs from a scanned/printed coupon. Long while back I had posted one of the first free clamp coupons and many stores wouldn't take it. It was from an ad pack in the newspaper and people didn't print both sides.

The girl knew, they must use different bar codes or something. I tried the "it came in an email" excuse but it didn't work. She knew!"

If they don't accept printed coupons on freebies. I can stop buying HF junk unless required. I am kind of addicted to it and buy lot of tools which I don't need thinking I might use some day. Please HF do it so that I can get over HF addiction.

Ok, who has one of these:

http://www.harborfreight.com/2-ho...68127.html

I'm thinking of picking one up this weekend. What's the best price I can get on this item?

There is a $325 coupon for this item. Any better ones?

Thanks,
Gary

Any current free with $50 purchase Qs? Mother-in-law wants this Tool Cabinet [harborfreight.com] and it would be nice to get more than screwdrivers for the big buy.

TIA.

Thanks for the review, does anyone know the difference in the new design (black and yellow) of the 10 inch sliding compound miter vs the old one (red)? Is it the same and they just changed he colors?
Thanks
I have the old 12 in sliding mitre.
The difference between the old vs new is direct drive vs belt drive. The new mitres have the motors out of the way so it can be positioned or angled on either sides. On the old saws you can only tilt the saw on one side because of the motor..

I usually tell the cashier I don't have a printer and just give them the code, it hasn't failed yet

Hey guys,

I just reviewed the HF 3/4" impact wrench. I don't have a great voice or anything, but please let me know what you think. I got it on sale for $79 (reg $99) with 25% coupon so this impact wrench ended up costing me about $60. My other sears impact wrench cost me way more than this.
Has a 1000 ft/lb max torque rating.

I also got my tire changer. Here's preview at:

If anyone cares, here's a video of the tire changer in action (sort of).

Thats what I thought about the 12 inch, the 10 inch looks like the motor is in the same position but not sure. Anyone know if it is direct drive?

Some of you already may know how to do this, but for those of you who don't, here is a great way to tie up your extension cords or any other cords in general. It's great way to store cords and tools.
IMO, very bad idea. Huge gentle coils (6 foot in length) prevent twisting, kinking and unnecessary strain.

Also, I dare you to do anything else with a PVC air hose (even as small as 1/4" ID) at 40°F (we won't talk about 10°F).

What I thought was a brake pad problem turned out to be warped rotors. Garage shops would have replaced my brake pads and then tell me I needed new rotors too. Saved me a lot of $$$$$ so I can buy more tools now.
Hope you did new pads to go with your new rotors.
