For those recommending replacement batteries from Amazon or Ebay, good luck with that. You have yet to learn that the battery is the exact part that those Chinese companies skimp on. Those batteries all work great at first, then die WAY quicker than they should. Why do u think the names never stick around and are constantly changing?
After a year of use of my v7 the battery died.
Cost me $140 to replace
That's not the first time I've heard this about the Dyson cordless ones. Overpriced IMO but an okay deal at this price. We got a Shark Duo clean on clearance from Walmart a couple of years back for I believe $120ish. It's been rock solid and came with two batteries.
Any confirmation of what price they had in store? Mine shows just "clearance" too. Do these things actually work good enough to use on carpet vs. a corded vacuum?
I can confirm that if you see "clearance" in brickseek, the price will be $149 in store. Mine still had a $299 label under it, but when I went to checkout it rang up as $149.

This version doesn't come with the attachment for hardwood floors. I will not spend another $100 on that.
