Model: Apple Watch Series 6 (GPS) 40mm Gold Aluminum Case with Pink Sand Sport Band - Gold
Deal History
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
They also have the SE - 40MM for $279.
Can someone please tell me the difference in these Apple watches?
Apple watch 6 vs SE.
Basically the SE is running the series 5 chip minus the ekg function and always on display (both which the series 6 has plus blood oxygen reader gimmick).
Also $279 for the 40mm is normal retail price, it was $50 off a few days ago at Best Buy but I think it was a mistake and only meant to be on the series 6 as that sale last like 20 minutes before it was pulled.
I have the se and love it, 3 years ago I owned a series 3 and returned it as the watch was laggy, speaker for phone calls was really hard to hear, and the software wasn't good like it is now.

If you want it then get it...
I have been waiting since 3.
I previously had the 3 and it sits on my desk right now for when I may don't something that would put the life of my new one in danger.
The 6 was an amazing jump went I feel like I waited for the right time. The 6 is super solid and possibly even more so than my 3. Would highly recommend the 6!
Why can't they just let these apple watches work with android phones?? I'm not a fan of Apple products typically, I use android, but I feel Apple is really losing out on a lot of sale by NOT letting these work with Android or Samsung phones. I don't judge either brands user, just whatever people prefer and works best for them. Apple makes the best smart watches hands down and I would love to use one, but it seems it'll never work on android without crazy work around and full functionality

I am in the opposite camp. I prefer Apple, but when it comes to the Apple watch, I cannot bring myself to shell out the money for one. I simply think they are too overpriced, even by Apple's customary price-gouging.
I have a bunch of Samsung Active 3 watches and bands from the recent Samsung deals that I plan to sell, and thought about buying an Apple watch with the profits, but only if I can find one that is dirt cheap.

Why do you call the blood oxygen reader function a gimmick? Is it not accurate? Or is this just your opinion?
Seems like with Covid often attacking the respiratory system, that feature would be more useful than ever if in fact it is accurate.
I tried to get Target to price match and they tried to not price match and allow me to stack 5% red card discount on top of it. I complained and they eventually fully price matched and applied it the 5% discount.
In my opinion, no only because I KNOW how to take care of the watch from any physical damage. While apple care does cover software issues that I have no knowledge of fixing it.
Secondly the deduction at the Apple Store is expensive from the get go that I rather spend the price of the deduction on a newer watch or something else depends on how bad it got damage.
Apple watch depreciate every year after all even though it mean nothing to me because I'm keeping it forever until it become useless. You'll be surprised how many folks are still rocking on their Series 1 nowadays....
overall, in your case, only you know if it worth spending for the Apple Care from the psychological and financial standpoint. just know it is a prepaid insurance of unforeseen circumstances. it a loss if it not used.
I still have my series 1 that I use daily. But I am ready for a new version!!! Just waiting to pull the trigger.
