My son just turned 13 and is on the small size, he had a 12 inch glove and then "borrowed" my glove from high school (no clue what length it was, but it was definitely longer than the 12) at the end of the season the threading let go and he was really annoyed to go back down. Your so should be fine, and if it's a bit big, save it for next year.
