It says 999 for the 512 and 749 for the 256 one. Although i see 1099 and 849 on my end

yes shows 749 for 256gb and 999 for the 512gb. make sure you are signed in and signed up for student deals.

Agreed, ridiculous to pay $250 for 256GB more storage- if it included for 8GB more RAM- then I'd say yes. Just save $250 and get the BestBuy base version deal posted for $750.
