if you pay Walmart+ with any other card, nothing changes and you don't get this perk.
So this guy thinks that anyone that pays $695/yr on a credit card membership will never go to a Walmart because they're excessively rich?

They are simply trying to supplement the business they lost from Costco partnership. After Costco rejected them and went with VISA.
