Trash airline. Bought business class from Denver to Kathmandu. Agents did not say anything about PCR testing. So when I got to Chicago to board Qatar, we were blocked out. Agent at Denver is supposed to check for all requirements. Eg visa, PCR etc per their guideline. Got stuck in Chicago for 36 hours, no hotel provided nothing... Paid 6k each for business class and nothing for accommodation.
I can't imagine how you boarded the plane without PCR testing. I guess the agent didn't imagine either

You didn't check the requirements yourself prior to boarding? No email from this airline about travel requirements? You probably would've been stuck in your hometown for 3 days.

Nope. I just saw the boarding pass and thats it. I am fully vaccinated on Moderna. Agent asked if I was vaccinated and that was it. I bought it online and did not receive any requirement on PCR.

Just wanted to let everyone know to get PCR done. Also they accept certain PCR from hospitals and clinics. Not all PCR are same. Hope u guys don't have to go through what I had to.

Every country has required testing (in addition to any vaccination). When the pandemic restrictions have been in place for almost 18 months now, you're responsible for knowing the rules. In fact, the US is requiring vaccination AND testing starting in a couple of weeks.
The country I was traveling to put the restrictions in place AFTER I had already booked the tickets. I kept myself up to date and got testing done. The standard has also always been RT-PCR. I just have to point out how ridiculous your complaining is.

Na not really. Flying business class and paying 6k, airline did not give a shit. Its simple as that. United sent out email for Munich flight regarding the requirements. There is a difference in courtesy vs actually not giving a dime for business class passenger. We pay 6k for flights so we don't have to worry about things like this.

They would assume someone paying 6k for flights will have the common sense of checking the requirements before flying.

Domestic and international rules are different, and depends on which country you fly to. There is a section on every airline's website that advices about pre-flight requirements. It is your responsibility to update yourself on these requirements. I absolutely cannot imagine they did not have a link on their ticket confirmation about these requirements.
