Samsung needs to step it up. LG have been delivering with their TV & monitors. Not worth it settling for less. It's nice but still running into issues LG doesn't have. Watch the reviews folks
Got the open box excellent for 1819 and 500$ is a bonus .
Question to experts , is the total tech from Best Buy worth it or should I go with geek sqUad ? I am tempted to buy 2 yrs warranty since it's open box .. would love to hear back from experts here on what's recommended
The best deal for 75QN84A was $1699 + $500 gift card https://slickdeals.net/f/15498661
I still don't consider it a good option, mainly because of IPS panel which leads to poor contrast ratios.

Maybe I'd suggest toUse a credit card that offers the warranty extension? You essentially are paying 200 for a 1300 purchase. So like 15% cost which would only give you a year longer warranty. I will say I've had ok experience with Best Buy's warranty service on wash machine. They won't replace until they try to fix about 15 times and they do everything to avoid it but if you're persistent it will get done.

That is the Achilles heel of these IPS panels. The TV in question only has 2,000 to one contrast ratio. That is pretty poor by today's standards.
And considering the x90j 75 in was as low as $1,600, the x90j is actually a better deal overall.
The perplexing thing is how rtings.com poorly rated the local dimming on the samsung. It's got thousands of zones cuz it's a neo qled. Yet scored less than the Sony.

I bought that deal as an open box with the GC. It's an OK TV. Moved it to the basement as there is no comparison to our 3 YO Sony. The Sony picture is much better. Still might return it.

if they sell again for that price $1699 + $500 GC, I won't think too much and buy it. Still cheaper than the costco $2199.00 at my local warehouse.
