I find these TeamGroup posts hilarious. You can get this Silicon Power kit with better timings for $2 less...

SD doesn't allow SP. That's why TG seems more popular (also TG is almost always posted by SD staff). Personally, I'd go with the SP

edit: also, the silicon power is dual rank

Looking for RAM for a build with the MicroCenter i7/Asus MB deal. Would this be good or should I be grabbing DDR4 3600 as planned?

You'd be fine with 3200MHz, but if you want to spend $7 more and OC the memory to 3600MHz which would give you better performance out of the I7, I'd go with a pair of these TeamGroups from Newegg. [newegg.com]

Apparently there is an 8gb USB drive you get free when you buy this ram set.

This might be a dumb question but, can you split the 32 GB into 2 different computers having 16 each? With one computer having 1 ram stick.

Yes you can. But one ram stick will not be able to utilize dual channel mode. You'd lose out a bit on performance. But if you don't plan on optimization anyway, it probably won't matter.

Yes that's shouldn't be an issue.

between the TeamGroup and the SiliconPower ram, which is the better deal? I was originally looking @ TeamGroup, but I also noticed the SP RAM @ amazon for slightly cheaper. SP has the better timings, but it seems like TG more popular? Never used Team Group before.
