Does any one use Expense or spending tracker app to track daily expenses?
I do not want to link my bank account or any other account. Just want to keep track of the amount expenses by entering manually on the app.

If you are using something that is good could you recommend them?

I like the app Fudget. I guess I must be grandfathered in because I don't pay a yearly fee, but there is a basic free version if you want to check it out: www.fudget.com

You could also essentially accomplish the same thing with an excel or google sheets spreadsheet. The templates section of google sheets does have one for "monthly budgets" with formatting already set up.

This seems to be very expensive per year.

This one offers yearly plan which I think is too much. Free version comes with only 250 entries.

i use mint. i can manually add stuff for cash purchases. not really sure how well it would work with manual input only.

prior to that i'd use excel. you could probably setup something with google forms and just keep the form bookmarked and input there

Quicken on a PC is still the best way to keep track of finances and expenses imo and it does not require tie-ins to banks\other institutions or the storage of your data on some 3rd party app/site with security vulnerabilities.

My 2 cents.

No simple, all-in solutions exist. Every time someone gets close, a company takes a different route, like Goldman Sachs and Apple Card. Sure, you can manually export, than import but that defeats the purpose of having an automated, simple app.

If you and your family have only 1 bank with a card or two, apps may work. I'm complaining about multi-bank/card holders.

There's an old app that fits the bill.... Expense Keep (made by Tyson Nguyen) - not many updates. Old UI, but its simple. I have it on iOS.
You basically enter in the expense, choose which account, date and notes.. choose an category and done.
No ads. Came out 9+ years ago, last update 2 years ago.
No data is collected, no link to financial institutions.

Mint is great, but it's being discontinued, so I wouldn't suggest anyone new switch over to it - I'm still looking for the best free alternative to it
