I'd love to see a teardown of both this and the wireless version. I wonder what the internal differences are, if you could mod it and make it wireless.

Is this the one with the Hall Effect sticks?
No. Only the Ultimate Bluetooth (the wireless one with the Switch button layout that comes with a dock) has hall-effect sensors in the stick. The Ultimate 2.4ghz version (Xbox layout) and all other 8bitdo controllers use potentiometer based sticks.

Be aware the "C" model is the super basic version without much in the way of extra features, basically just a basic controller. Does not have programmable back buttons, no mapping/macro customizations, no hot swapping of mapping/macro profiles, etc.
Awesome controller for the price. I have the wireless version and it's honestly pretty comparable to my Xbox series controller. Doesn't feel light or flimsy, buttons feel solid, sticks feel firm. Wired seems like a great option for laptop gaming.

From the reviews, no. Reviews seem good if you can swallow the pastel colors

The paddles work really well for N64 emulation, you can assign them to Z or the C buttons, with a normal controller I start running out of buttons
